Since 1997 I have been working as a freelance clarinettist in many European orchestras that are primarily dedicated to historical performance practice. These include Concerto Köln, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Freiburger Barockorchester, Das Neue Orchester, Cappella Coloniensis, Amsterdam Barok, Orchestre des Champs Elysées et Anima Eterna Brugge.

I have participated in numerous concert tours in Europe, Japan and the USA, as well as in many radio and CD recordings, e.g. for Deutsche Grammophon, Harmonia Mundi and others.

During the years I devoted to early music, I developed a passion for researching new repertoire for my instrument.

I initially used the fruits of my research for personal purposes, playing in concerts or recording the works I discovered in libraries.

I quickly felt the need to share my discoveries with my fellow clarinettists. In 2006 I founded Castejon Music Editions to publish this old / new repertoire.

After I decided to extend my research to other wind instruments, I started collaborating with other international instrumentalists or musicologists, such as W.  Verschuren, J. Zafra (bassoonists), G. Rinot, E. Hoeprich, A. Rice, E. Schlader, A. Caroccia and A. DelDonna (clarinettists), A. Klitzing (flutists).

The collaboration with the library of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, made possible by its director Olivia Wahnon de Oliveira, is particularly close to my heart. For many years I have been publishing treasures lying dormant in this library.

Over the years, my catalog expanded to include previously unpublished orchestral works from other libraries. During my research I discovered cantatas by Cherubini and unknown works by Haydn's pupil Sigismund Ritter von Neukomm. Some of these works have been recorded (Arianna, Neukomm, Reicha, Cherubini, DG Simrock, Krufft).

Pedagogical publications are also important to me. I myself have published 2 textbooks for clarinet lessons.
